  • “We’re proud to endorse Scott Thompson for re-election as Ward 2 Councillor.

Scott has been there for us and our business since the start of his term in 2022. He has always made time to listen to our concerns, understand the challenges we’re facing, and make sure our voices are heard.

For us, that kind of accessibility and follow-through matters. We look forward to have in Scott represent us for another four years!

Strong representation matters, and having Councillor Thompson at the table who understands the realities facing our local businesses is essential. Councillor Thompson has demonstrated a genuine commitment to advocating for our business community, listening to the concerns of our local business owners, and working collaboratively to move important issues forward. His continued involvement on our Board ensures that the voice of our business community remains heard where decisions are being made.

  • Thanks for all your support on local issues and looking forward to having you as our councillor for the next term!

Scott is an extremely responsive councillor and has been instrumental in helping with community issues such as navigating the complexities of the Krassman centre and running events such as the annual ecofest which have been great ways to engage the neighborhood and the community.

  • Councillor Thompson cares deeply about the health and well-being of persons resident or simply working or active in his ward.

He and his office are quick to respond to local issues and needs in the community, to make it a welcoming environment.  He does that while often juggling the concerns of residents and still taking into consideration the health and well being of persons with issues around mental health and homelessness.  Any issues I have brought to his attention have been dealt with as expeditiously as possible, while taking a cautious approach to ensure that affected individuals are treated with the utmost care and consideration.  Scott gets the job done while ensuring that rights, privileges and respect are maintained.  I commend him on his approach and eventual results.  Generally, I like quick response and results, whereas Scott takes a more methodical approach considering all aspects of the issue and reaching solutions that are ‘palatable’ to all sides with little adverse affects…

It is my pleasure to endorse Scott for re-election as Ward 2 Councillor.

  • I encourage everyone in Ward 2 to consider voting for Scott.

I have made Richmond Hill my home since 1996. I loved it from the word go. I hope my fellow residents agree Richmond Hill is still a place we should all love and be glad to call our home. I fully support Scott Thompson as Ward 2 Councillor. I have been incredibly impressed at the effort he has put into this role and the outcomes he has been part of achieving. Scott is both a thoughtful and respectful voice on Council and an attentive listener to resident’s concerns - all of these attributes are important to ensuring effective and efficient governance of our town. Running Richmond Hill is a team effort and I want Scott on that team.
